Frequently Asked Questions – We’re Here to Help
We understand that choosing the right learning environment for your child is an important decision. Our Frequently Asked Questions page is designed to provide clear, helpful information about our curriculum, teaching approach, facilities, and day-to-day school life.
Programs & Ages
A: Our programs are specifically tailored for children aged 5 to 10. We divide the Labs into two multi-age groups (5 years to 7 years, and 8 years to 10 years).
A: No prior experience is necessary. Our courses are designed to introduce kids to the world of creativity, team work, and curiosity in a fun way from day one.
Sessions & Schedule
A: Each program runs for 6 weeks, on Saturday’s, with one 2 Hour session held every week to foster consistent learning, enough time for meaningful projects, and team engagement.
A: We offer in-person sessions right now at our San Jose location at this time. We will look at other cities in the future; feel free to email us with your city requirements and we will take that into consideration as we expand.
A: We ensure every child stays on track by providing catch-up materials and guidance for any missed sessions.
Materials & Preparation
A: Nothing for most projects. If a project is introduced that may require a tablet (like ScratchJr) or a laptop (like Scratch), we will provide enough notice to the family about the need.
Class Size & Safety
A: We maintain small groups of students with multiple facilitators to guarantee personalized attention and an optimal learning environment. Ideally, we like a working group in the class of 3-5 children, and a class may have 3-4 of such small working groups.

A: From the enrollment page, simply fill out the online registration form. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach us at info@creativesparkslabs.com.
Parents Ask
A: Many bright children shut down when:
- The instructions aren’t clear
- The outcome isn’t guaranteed
- The path forward feels uncertain
But the future demands leaders who can think independently, adapt quickly, and stay calm when things aren’t obvious.
Confidence isn’t built through worksheets. It’s built through experience.
Help your child by them participating in safe low risk challenges and problem solving where they can learn how to take measured risks in a controlled environment, where trial and error becomes process to the solution that makes them feel accomplished. Look for Creative Sparks Labs near you.
At Creative Stars Labs, we go beyond traditional enrichment by designing experiences where creativity, collaboration, and real-world thinking come together.
Inspired by progressive learning approaches, we see children as original thinkers—not just learners to be instructed, but creators with ideas worth exploring. Our programs are built around open-ended challenges that invite children to imagine, build, test, and refine their thinking alongside others.
Our environments are intentionally crafted to spark curiosity and conversation—where children don’t just participate, but take ownership of their learning. Each session evolves through a balance of thoughtful guidance and child-driven exploration.
With small groups and deeply engaged educators, every child is supported to think boldly, express ideas confidently, and develop the creative resilience they’ll carry into the future.
These approaches are powerful because they align with how children naturally learn—through exploration, play, and social interaction. Rather than focusing only on memorization or right answers, they emphasize creative thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Children are given open-ended challenges with multiple possible solutions, which helps them become comfortable with ambiguity and builds confidence in their own ideas. Working in teams also strengthens communication, empathy, and the ability to navigate different perspectives—key social-emotional skills at this age.
Additionally, these models integrate disciplines like STEM, art, and storytelling into hands-on projects, making learning more engaging and meaningful. By creating, building, and presenting their ideas, children develop a strong sense of ownership and see themselves as capable thinkers and creators.
Overall, these approaches help build the foundational skills—confidence, creativity, resilience, and teamwork—that support long-term success both in school and in life.
